The Best Doughnuts at Universal Orlando Resort
If you like doughnuts, you will want to find the best ones at Universal Orlando Resort on your next vacation. June 3 is National Doughnut Day, and Universal Orlando Resort has two main doughnut shops. You will want to try them both.
Voodoo Doughnuts
Voodoo Doughnuts is found in Universal City Walk. If you walk towards the entrance to Universal Studios Orlando, its on your right. You can’t miss it because of the doughnut chair photo op that is located outside the shop.
Voodoo is known for their wild flavors and out of the box toppings that make their doughnuts unique. One of the best known is their voodoo doll doughnut. They also feature seasonal doughnuts that make for a one-of-a-kind sweet treat.
Voodoo’s doughnuts come in yeast, cake, and even vegan. Try them for breakfast or a quick snack. Be warned you will want a drink with one because they are very sweet.
Mobile ordering is available at the Universal City Walk location and this can be a real time saver when trying to get to the parks for Early Park Admission. These doughnuts are a great breakfast to hold and eat while standing in line for park opening.
Lard Lad Donuts
Lard Lad is located in Fast Food Blvd, Springfield inside Universal Studios Orlando. The iconic Lard Lad, holding a giant pink doughnut, towers above so it’s hard to miss.
Lard Lad’s World Famous Big Pink doughnut is a whopping 8 inches in diameter and weighs 14 ounces. It is a yeast doughnut covered in pink creamy frosting and sprinkles. Other doughnut flavors of the day include chocolate glazed, maple bacon, and Oreo.
