Hotel Review: The Hotel Hot Springs – Comfort and Convenience in Downtown Hot Springs

If you’re planning a trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas, and looking for a hotel that combines clean accommodations, friendly service, and a prime downtown location, The Hotel Hot Springs is a solid choice. During my stay, I found it to be a great option for both leisure and business travelers, especially with its direct connection to the Hot Springs Convention Center. While there were a few minor inconveniences, overall, my experience was positive.
Location & Accessibility

One of the biggest advantages of staying at The Hotel Hot Springs is its fantastic location. Nestled in downtown Hot Springs, the hotel puts you within walking distance of some of the city’s top attractions, including Bathhouse Row, the Hot Springs National Park Visitor Center, and plenty of restaurants and shops.
If you’re in town for an event at the Hot Springs Convention Center, you’ll appreciate the convenient indoor walkway connecting the hotel to the venue—no need to worry about weather or traffic! We were there for the 2025 High School Arkansas State Archery Tournament. There was also a dance competition going on during our stay.
Rooms & Comfort

The rooms at The Hotel Hot Springs are clean and comfortable. They offer a modern design with cozy beds and updated furnishings. I appreciated the attention to cleanliness, which made for a pleasant and relaxing stay. However, one drawback is that the walls are a bit thin. You might hear noise from neighboring rooms or hallways, especially if you’re a light sleeper.

Another minor issue we had was the shower floor pops. On the bright side, the shower heats up quickly and has a good amount of water pressure.
Amenities & Service
One of the standout aspects of my stay was the friendly and accommodating staff. From check-in to check-out, the hotel employees were helpful and welcoming, making sure guests had everything they needed.

The Hotel Hot Springs offers valet parking and the bellmen were very friendly. We also noticed that the front lobby attendants were quick to respond to water on the floor during a rainy day. This helped us feel safe and prevented slipping on wet floors.
However, there were a few issues with the elevators. They tended to be slow, and at times, the lights and sounds didn’t work properly, which could be confusing. Another minor inconvenience was the heater/AC unit in the room, which was a bit loud at night.
One amenity we were surprised to not find in this hotel was a swimming pool. If you have children or just like to swim yourself, you might not want to book this hotel. Although it was a family friendly hotel, we felt like it was geared towards more business minded travelers.
Food and Drinks
One area we did not try out was the sports bar. However, we noticed it has a patio and indoor seating.

The Hotel Hot Springs does offer a full continental breakfast buffet included in your stay. Everything we ate was good, however I think we may have gotten in during the latter part of the buffet. Some items were not being restocked. The buffet does close at 9:00 AM and we were there between 8:30 AM and 8:45 AM.
Coys Steakhouse is coming in the Spring of 2025, but was not open yet during our stay.
Parking Considerations
If you’re driving to the hotel, keep in mind that the parking garage is about half a block away. It’s not a huge inconvenience. However, it is something to be aware of if you’re carrying luggage or arriving late at night. The hotel did let us unload our luggage before we had to move our vehicle to the parking garage.
The price of the parking garage is also included with the cost of your room. A valet parking option is available for a fee of $20 per night.
Be sure and bring your umbrella into the hotel with you.
Don’t make the mistake of leaving it in your vehicle like we did.
Final Thoughts
Despite a few minor drawbacks, The Hotel Hot Springs offers a clean, comfortable stay in a fantastic downtown location. The friendly staff and easy access to the convention center make it an excellent option for both tourists and business travelers. If you’re attending an event at the convention center or want to explore Hot Springs on foot, this hotel is worth considering.
When we were there the cost of this hotel was less than half the price of the Embassy Suites next door.
Pros:
✅ Clean and comfortable rooms
✅ Friendly and welcoming staff

Cons:
❌ Thin walls (some noise from neighboring rooms)
❌ Slow elevators, and some elevator lights/sounds don’t work
❌ Heater/AC unit can be noisy
❌ Parking garage is a short walk away
Would I stay here again? Yes! The pros definitely outweigh the cons, and if you’re visiting Hot Springs, this hotel is a great base for exploring the city.
