What is a Hidden Mickey?
A Hidden Mickey is a cleverly concealed representation of Mickey Mouse. It is often in the shape of his signature three-circle silhouette. You might spot one in the décor, hidden in the shadows of a ride queue, or cleverly woven into a mural. Some are easy to find, while others require a sharp eye and a bit of patience.
My Two-Day Hidden Mickey Challenge
During my recent two-day Disney World adventure, I took on a Hidden Mickey challenge. Armed with a list of locations and a keen eye, I scoured Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Coronado Springs Resort to uncover these hidden treasures.
You can even turn it into a full-fledged game! By pairing the hunt with snacks, trivia, and themed challenges, make it an interactive way to experience Disney in a whole new light.
Not only did I find Mickeys tucked into murals, decor, and ride queues, but I also experienced an extra hunt within our hotel.
Some hotels offer their own hidden object hunt. The Coronado Springs Resort hides “Bruno” around the hotel each day. Port Orleans French Quarter hides “Louis”. Find one of these hidden objects and take a photo back to the front desk for a prize.

Top Hidden Mickey Finds from My Trip
Here are a few of my favorite Hidden Mickey discoveries:
Magic Kingdom:
- Haunted Mansion – Keep an eye on the dining table in the ballroom scene! The plates are often arranged into a Mickey shape.
- Pirates of the Caribbean – Look closely at the barrel shadows near the queue—one forms the classic Mickey silhouette.
- Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid – There’s a cleverly hidden Mickey in the rockwork outside the attraction.
EPCOT:
- Living with the Land – Hidden among the plants in the greenhouse, some Mickey-shaped produce makes a fun surprise!
- Spaceship Earth – In the Renaissance scene, look at the scrollwork on the wall for a Mickey silhouette.
- Gran Fiesta Tour (Mexico Pavilion) – A fun one to find! The fireworks form a Hidden Mickey in one of the final scenes.
Hollywood Studios:
- Tower of Terror – Check the lobby’s dusty desk, where a Mickey-shaped ink blot is subtly left behind.
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – This ride is packed with Hidden Mickeys! Look at the clouds, flowers, and fireworks throughout the ride.
- Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Even Batuu has some Mickey magic! Look for a welded Mickey shape on the walls of the marketplace.
Coronado Springs Resort:
- The lobby mural – Hidden in the intricate artwork, a small Mickey is nestled within the vibrant patterns.
- Gran Destino Tower hallway carpets – The elegant designs include subtle Mickey outlines.
Ways to Make Your Hidden Mickey Hunt Even More Fun!
Hunting for Hidden Mickeys is already exciting, but adding an extra layer of fun makes it even better. Here are some creative ways to turn it into a challenge:
1. Snack & Search Challenge 🍿
Pair each Hidden Mickey find with a snack break. Found a Mickey? Celebrate with a Mickey pretzel or an iconic Dole Whip!
2. Trivia & Clue Game 🧩
Before heading to each land, have a friend or family member give you clues about where to find a Hidden Mickey. No peeking at the list—you have to solve the riddle first!
3. Hidden Mickey Photo Scavenger Hunt 📸
Document your discoveries! Snap a photo of each Hidden Mickey you find and challenge your group to see who can capture the most.
