The lodge is also home to the Shoreline Restaurant, making it easy to refuel with a delicious meal after a day of exploring. Plus, its central location gives you access to all the park’s main activities, so you’re never far from the next adventure.
Eating in the Shoreline Restaurant can get expensive, but the lodge rooms do have a mini fridge inside and also a microwave in the lobby area you can use. We found the most economical and also tasty meal was to share a 16” pizza with the whole family. We recommend the Mt. Magazine pizza.

On our lake cruise we saw three bald eagles, a blue heron, and several other types of birds. The sunset view was amazing too.

This was one of our favorite activities at the park. We saw an armadillo, a skunk, frogs, raccoons, and lots of deer.
A flashlight with a strong beam is a must for this tour. However, if you happen to forget yours, don’t worry, the guide might have extras.
