To Insure or Not to Insure? That is the Question…
Today’s trip to the dentist didn’t go as planned. What started as a routine procedure—a filling and a temporary cap—quickly turned into an unexpected challenge. I couldn’t see! Upon leaving, double vision set in, making it difficult to see and impossible to drive myself home.
You might be wondering, “What does this have to do with travel?” Actually, a lot.
Let’s talk about travel insurance….

The Unpredictable Nature of Life
Life is full of surprises, and sometimes those surprises throw a wrench in your plans. This becomes even more important when you travel. Being prepared is crucial—and that’s where travel insurance comes into play. Every travel supplier I work with offers insurance, and for good reason. If you need a stand-alone plan, I can help with that too!
Why Travel Insurance is Essential
In my experience, purchasing travel insurance is a must. You never know when something will disrupt your plans. Think about how COVID-19 turned the travel world upside down. Personally, I had a Canada/New England cruise booked that was canceled. Another time, I had to reschedule a Disney trip due to a hurricane. In both cases, my plans were protected thanks to travel insurance.
Yes, insurance can feel like an added expense, and most of the time, you won’t even need it. But what about that one time when you do? Without it, you could lose all the money you’ve worked hard to save toward your dream vacation.
A Cautionary Tale
The bottom line: I always recommend travel insurance. It’s peace of mind for the unexpected moments—like double vision after a routine dentist appointment! (Don’t worry, my mom picked me up, so I didn’t have to drive home.)
