Lanyards
Our first accessory, lanyards, are great to take to this theme park. Universal Orlando uses paper tickets for park entry and key cards for your hotel room. Your key card is also used as your Unlimited Express Pass (when staying in a deluxe hotel) and gains you access to early park hours.
When using a park-to-park ticket you also use your park ticket to scan into riding the Hogwarts Express. For these reasons you will always want to keep it handy. We suggest keeping it on a lanyard like these.
Waterproof Backpack
Florida has very unpredictable weather. Every afternoon pop up rain showers can occur, and you don’t want to get stuck at a theme park without being prepared. Bringing a small waterproof backpack like this Dry Bag can help.
Unlike Disney, Universal does not allow large bags on most rides. They do provide lockers outside each ride in a locker station, but if you need to store a large backpack you will have to pay. They do offer small lockers for free. This is another reason we suggest a small size Dry Bag. It will collapse easily for storage.
Rain Ponchos
As we stated above weather can be very unpredictable in Florida. Carrying a couple compact rain ponchos with you will keep you dry and having fun in the park.
Portable Charger
Extreme elements and lots of picture taking can zap your phone’s battery while in a theme park. For these reasons we recommend having a lightweight portable charger as a Universal Orlando accessory. When choosing a portable charger you will want to first make sure it is compatible with your type of phone. You will also want one that is not too heavy to carry around in the park with you all day.
Without having a portable charger you might just miss out on that perfect character picture or your daughter’s first ride on a roller coaster. By keeping your phone charged will let you be always ready.
Mini First Aid Kit
Minor accidents such as getting blisters in a theme park are certainly no fun. Carrying a mini first aid kit with you can help you save time during your day instead of trying to find a first aid station in the park. If you are always prepared, you can take care of minor accidents and get back to having fun with your family.
