Disney Springs Food Trucks: 22 Food Trucks in 2022 – Part 7
Food trucks #12 and #13 in the 22 in 2022 Challenge are found in Disney Springs. Disney Springs has multiple food trucks in their Exposition Park. We were able to enjoy two of them on our last trip. The Disney Springs trucks are good for location and convenience, and the variety of food, however they are lacking in quality and taste.
Disney Springs food trucks: location
For anyone looking for a quick bite to eat while shopping at Disney Springs then these food trucks are a good stop. There are a few tables to sit and eat at nearby, but they can fill up on a busy day. There is also not a lot of shade in this location and on a sweltering day the heat can be miserable, especially if coming after a long day in the parks.
Exposition Park is convenient for you if you just want something quick to eat without a lot of fuss. There are three different options to eat at, on most days, and you can usually find something for everyone. The trucks are also pretty fast about getting orders out.
The Food
Local Green Orlando Food Truck has a mostly plant-based menu and serves some really good drinks which are perfect for a hot day. The Green-Hito and Strawberry Lemonades are excellent. The Elote Street Corn is good, but nothing to write home about. If you like the taste of Chile lime, then this one is for you.
Mac & Cheese has quite simply mac & cheese. They serve many varieties of mac & cheese. You can get BBQ, chicken parmesan, Texas chili, and even crunchy mac & cheese. The mac & cheese fritters are a deep-fried version and were the best thing we ate. Their lobster mac & cheese has chunks of rubbery lobster set inside a bowl of mac & cheese. The lobster mac & cheese sounds upscale but lacks in flavor and texture. We do not recommend.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for a food truck while on a trip to Disney, try out the Disney Springs food trucks in Exposition Park. They usually have at least three options to pick from and something for everyone. It is hot with little shade, so find a table first and then send one person to order while the other keeps the table. They do get busy on crowded days. Try out the lemonades at Local Green or the mac & cheese fritters from Mac & Cheese.
On our last trip it was extremely hot therefore we were not hungry enough to try out all the trucks. Hot Diggity Dog was not there, as food trucks tend to move around, and the line for 4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa was extremely long. We will have to come back to try these two on another day.
