Traveling with Mom for Mother’s Day
With Mother’s Day today why not give her the gift of memories? Traveling with Mom can be to any location and involves many kinds of trips. Cruises, Disney and local state parks are a few of the many locations that are perfect for multi-generational travel.
I have been very lucky to have traveled a lot with my mom. Morgan goes with us now too, and I hope she enjoys traveling with me as much as I enjoy traveling with her.
Cruises
Cruises are great for families of any age to travel on. No matter what cabin category you are choosing you are treated like royalty from the moment you step onboard. From the room service, the dining, or the entertainment , Mom is treated like a Queen.
You can even splurge on a trip to the spa or just relax by the pool with a drink and a book. Waking up in a new country is exciting and going on new adventures will help make lasting memories. Cruises are all-inclusive. They are budget friendly too.
Disney
Think Disney is just for kids? Well, think again. Moms enjoy Disney too. More adventurous moms love riding the mountains, while more laid-back moms enjoy watching The Carrousel of Progress. Looking for great food and don’t want to cook? You can take Mom to different countries in Epcot without leaving the US.
If Mom has always dreamed of visiting Hawaii but has never gotten to go, a stay at the Polynesian Resort will put her in paradise. It has luau type dining at Ohana, Polynesian style rooms, and even a white sand beach with an excellent view of fireworks.
State Parks with Mom
Looking for something a little closer to home? Try a local state park. For more adventurous, outdoorsy type moms this is a perfect way to relax and make family memories.
My Mom enjoys hiking to stay in shape and also loves playing with Morgan outside. Visiting State Parks allows you to learn the history of an area as well as participate in fun activities. All Arkansas State Parks are handicap accessible. Even if your mom is elderly or not as mobile as she used to be she can still enjoy the parks.
Final Thoughts
Traveling with Mom can be a great way to make long lasting memories. Three types of multigenerational travel include cruises, Disney, and local state parks. With any of these vacations Mom won’t have to cook or clean and will have the chance to relax and have fun with her family. Where would you like to take your mom on a trip?
