5 Places to See Fireworks on Vacation

With the 4th of July just around the corner, seeing fireworks on vacation is a fun family experience.  Fireworks can be enjoyed at several destinations even if it’s not on a holiday celebration. Here are 5 places you can enjoy them on your next vacation.

1. Disney World Fireworks Shows

Disney’s Magic Kingdom hosts a nighttime show complete with fireworks and projections on the castle.  They are currently showing Disney’s Enchantment nightly.  We suggest getting there early for the best viewing spot.

Epcot is currently showing Harmonious which is a nighttime spectacular event around World Showcase Lagoon.  It features Disney music, pyrotechnics, floating screens, and choreographed fountains.

2. Disney Cruise Line

Fireworks at Sea? Yes, this is actually a thing.  When you embark on a Disney Cruise you can experience a pirate themed party night complete with a special firework show.  Fireworks set to Disney themed music fill the sky as you watch from onboard your ship.

3. Sea World

Sea World offers Electric Ocean in the summer months through Sept. 5.  This nighttime event features immersing yourself in lights and music while experiencing the park in a unique way.  The event ends with Ignite 360 which is their nighttime show.  It features fireworks, flames, lights, and fountains that “bring the brilliance of the sea to the skies above.”

4. Washington, DC Fireworks

What better place to celebrate our country’s freedoms and independence than at the capital itself?  The best spot to view the July 4 show is at the National Mall.  It does get crowded, so we recommend getting there early.  Popular viewing locations include near the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial.  Some hotels and restaurants even have magnificent views too.

5. Waikiki, HI

Every Friday night the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Waikiki Beach hosts Friday Fireworks.  This is a free event to watch on the beach and is enjoyable by everyone.  The show started in April of 1988 and helps kick off the weekend every week.  After a two-year absence it was brought back in June of 2022.  The show begins at 8 pm and is seen from all of Waikiki.

Final Thoughts
