22 Food Trucks in 2022 – downtown Fort Smith, AR
Our next four food trucks in the 22 in 2022 Food Truck Challenge are parked around downtown Fort Smith, AR. World of Fries, Ana’s Street Treats, Ivy Rollin, and ShoBo’s Kitchen all serve up their own specialty menus with great flavors and great service.
Downtown Fort Smith, AR is a popular area for travelers to visit. You can visit The Fort Smith Museum of History, take a ride on the Trolley, or visit the Fort Smith Historical Site. The United States Marshal’s Museum will soon be completed.
We suggest you park along Garrison Ave, and walk around to see the little shops, eateries, and many murals around the downtown area. On Saturdays, weather permitting, there is even a local farmer’s market to enjoy.
World of Fries
At World of Fries, you get one thing… fries, but not just any fries, they jazz them up with ooey gooey cheese sauce and different toppings. You will enjoy the Philly Cheesesteak Fries or the Chicken Bacon Ranch Fries just to name a few.
World of Fries is located on Garrison Ave. near the Peacemaker’s Stage. It is a small family owned and operated business and you can see the kid’s playing alongside the truck in the lawn. There is plenty of seating around the truck and on select nights local bands preform on the stage.
Ana’s Street Treats
Ana’s Street Treats serves up traditional Mexican food. Their menu consists of street tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and the most amazing guacamole and chips around. The portions here are huge, and you can share with a friend. You can order almost any menu item made with your choice of either chicken, steak, or shrimp.
Ana’s parks near the Bakery District. There is plenty of covered seating nearby, so the weather is not necessarily a factor when choosing this truck. So far this ranks as our favorite food truck for Mexican style food. For faster service they give you a pager that lets you know when your food is ready.
Ivy Rollin
This truck is new to the area but has long term potential. Ivy serves traditional Lao/Thai food, and she is currently expanding her menu. Her specialties are egg rolls, pad Thai, and chicken fried rice. Your little ones will also enjoy chicken on a stick and trying out chopsticks. Because the food is traditional Lao the egg rolls here are the small, thin rolls that are more like spring rolls in more traditional Chinese food. You might want to order a couple if you are expecting the larger fatter ones.
Ivy is currently parked around the Bakery District, but like all food trucks she moves around. The staff here is friendly and the food is delicious. You won’t be disappointed with whatever you choose to try. Because the food portions are large having leftovers for lunch the next day is quite possible. You can easily get two meals from one here.
ShoBo’s Kitchen
ShoBo’s Kitchen is often parked in the Bakery District but can be hard to catch. This truck likes to move around a lot and travels all over Arkansas to special events. Sho Bos’ speciality is their Cajun Alfredo. The menu also includes Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, burgers, nachos, and loaded fries. While the service might be a little slower than expected, nonetheless the taste of the food is good.
Final Thoughts
There is lots to see and do around downtown Fort Smith, AR. Many family-owned food trucks are found in this area alongside the museums, historical sites, and murals. You can find something for everyone here. World of Fries, Ana’s Street Treats, Ivy Rollin, and Sho Bo’s Kitchen are a few of the trucks around with great flavors and great service.
