22 Food Trucks in 2022 – An International Delight

Our #11 food truck in the 22 in 2022 Challenge takes you to multiple countries within one truck.  One of our most recent food trucks, SASS Catering, is located behind the Quality Inn in Alma, AR.  It is a new food truck to the area, but one little truck packs a huge punch of flavor!

The Food

If you are feeling hungry but can’t agree on what type of food to eat this is the place to go.  Their menu has a little bit of everything from Asian to Indian, American, Mexican, and Italian.

Butter chicken at one of our food trucks.

Feeling like Indian food? We suggest the Butter Chicken.  “Tandoori chicken pieces tossed in a rich tomato and cream gravy with aromatic dry fenugreek leaves” make up this classic dish.  It is served with a side of rice and is plenty of food for two people.  Add on a side of Naan bread to dip in it.

Hakka noodles served at one of the food trucks.

Hakka noodles are also a good choice.  These Indian Chinese style noodles are chicken, ginger and garlic, green onions, vegetables, and other spices.  They pack a huge portion into a small container which can easily be shared.

The Drinks

They have two specialty drinks that are yogurt based.  The Sweet Lassi and the Mango Lassi are a must try for a cool drink on a hot day. Coke products, Pure Leaf Sweet Tea, and Bottled Water are also served here.

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for a food truck with lots of options SASS Catering is the place to try.  Their menu is currently Indian and Chinese based dishes, but they add new things often.  We can’t wait to go back and try their Chicken Manchurian or maybe their Gulab Jaman.  Not sure what to try? Their friendly staff is very helpful and will recommend based on your tastes.

Food trucks are often near parks for a picnic.

Our only negative with SASS Catering is there is no outdoor seating.  However, this is understandable, due to the location being inside a hotel parking lot.  You will want to take it to go.  There is a nearby city park where the kids can play after eating, so this makes for a fun picnic.

Our next trip will take us out of Arkansas, and we might just find a few food trucks while we are there.  Where will we go next?  Follow us online to check out our next adventure so you won’t miss our next food truck, and remember… “Life’s Short… Take the Trip!”
